The LORD said, "I appointed prophets as watchmen to warn you, saying: 'Pay attention to the warning sound of the trumpet!'" But they said, "We will not pay attention!"Īlso I raised up sentinels for you: “Give heed to the sound of the trumpet!” But they said, “We will not give heed.” I raised up watchmen for them: “Pay attention to the sound of the trumpet!” But they said, “We will not pay attention!” But they said, 'We won't listen!'Īnd I set watchmen over you: 'Attend to the sound of the horn', But they said: 'We will not attend.'Īnd I have raised up watchmen for you, Attend to the voice of the horn. Then the LORD appointed sentries to listen for the trumpet's warning.
